Tavril has been engaged in Public Relations/Communications for nine years (from 1991 to 2000.) His expertise covers a broad spectrum of public relations disciplines, ranging from corporate communications, marketing communications, media relations, event management, issues management, community relations, research, advertising, and other communications related subjects. He has worked for the private sector, government projects, as well as non-government organizations and have served many clients for whom he has designed and implemented communications programs with accurate positioning to reach client's audience and obtain desired feedback. While he has been a casualty of the Indonesian economic crisis, one positive aspect has been to broadening up his experience. Tavril was recently involved in a project to launch JobsDB.com Indonesia, a leading Asia Pacific multi-national recruitment site with its base in Hong Kong. The project succeeded to gather more than 10.000 people to attend an exhibition. His previous project involved an integrated communications campaign program called 'We Care Indonesia' to raise funds for the less advantaged living in the poor urban areas of Indonesia. The campaign includes public relations, advertising, event management, corporate sponsorship drive, telethon and website development. The project has succeeded in generating an amount of more than three billion rupiah within five months. The funds obtained will then be submitted by 'The Indonesian Committee for Humanitarian Programs' to those in need through various tailored social programs. Prior to that, he was involved in an international scope project the 'Indonesia Forum' an international conference established in an effort to support Indonesia restore its confidence due to the current economic and political crisis. Tavril was in charge of its media relations and promotional campaign. During the project, he handled approximately 300 journalists and correspondents from more than 60 local media and over 50 foreign media. These reporters came from the daily newspapers, the radio as well as the television broadcasting stations. It has been the largest number of media ever handled for a private event in Jakarta. Tavril spent his previous years working at Burson-Marsteller Indonesia, a leading multinational perception management firm and at other leading local PR companies, these were Sudarto & Noeradi PR and Inke Maris & Associates. Among the clients he has worked includes Motorola, on the launch of its popular StarTAC Ô cellular telephone, Beiersdorf Indonesia on issues management for its well known brand Nivea. Other major clients for whom he has done extensive media relations activities include BASF Indonesia, Citibank, Dupont, Lucent Technologies, HBO Asia, Singapore Airlines, Bankers Trust and Japan-Indonesia Friendship Festival.Tavril has earned his Bachelor's degree in marketing at GS Fame Institute of Business in Jakarta, an affiliate of the Philippine School of Business Administration in Manila. |
